Recommendations for Chess Endgame Software ??

I am looking for chess endgame program simalar to CT-art.

It should cover basic to intermediate endgames. Heavily geared toward being practical and learning principles.

Please make recommendations.

I see 3 options in convekta.

Comprehensive Chess Endings is the Averbakh course. Comprehensive, but I didn't think it was for the beginner or practical. It's more like an encyclopedia.

Chess Endgame Training has only exercises (lots of them) with no theory.

Theory and Practice of chess endings would be your best bet, since it has theory and exercises, but I think it is a little concise for the difficult subject of the endgame.

I myself use Basic Endgames by chessbase (with that strange german endgame freak) to learn about the endgame and Chess Endgame Training to practice what I've learned.

"chess endgame training" by Convekta for full-speed-ahead practical endgame training. I own it and am very happy with it. You'll be right at home b/c of your familiarity with CT-art.

I think any of these packages would help me though I would agree with with GM that the Averbakh is not what I am looking for. I have looked at the CET, TPCe and PCT in downloadable form which all appear to be appropriate. I'll end up buying one in a few weeks in the meantime I have entered the first 21 K&P positions from GM RAm from both black and whites perspective.

I use Studies 2.0 from Convetka.

I have it configured for playing strength and there are four levels. I am currently being beaten with level 2 problems ( 1900-2200 elo)as my current elo for convetka Studies is a bismal 1700.

I own PCT and its endgame module is wrong about 35% of the time, so I don't recommend it. It's tactics module is much better though.
