Sound ?

The games may or not be sound but I do find them interesting. Cut and paste game into viewer on sidebar .
addon note: Fritz showed me I missed a mate do you see it and Black had a chance to force me to sac my queen to avoid a mating threat soon after. both which were missed....

Did a superset of 100 problems from Level 20 tonight.

    A point's a point.

I might have played 31. Qxe5 instead of the knight check. If he tries to take your knight with the rook, a simple check with Qe7 wins the rook.

That was one wild ride. Where you used the h-pawn as a battering ram was nice and risky... just how I like my chess.

Wow Jim - a very exciting game. I was so intrigued with your opening that barely made a claim in the center yet totally snared him. I even fritzed the opening phase to see if it could be refuted, but it is indeed sound. Black had one opportunity to relocate your rook on move 5 with...Bh6, but then he'd probably have to forget about any notions of castling kingside. I wonder if you'd have pushed that h-pawn like that if he hadn't decided to fianchetto? -CC

BP, Fritz agrees with you on the 31 Qxe5. The mate I missed was 30 Qxg5 which I did not calculate thinking it could be captured by the king. 33....Qa4 would of led to a black win due to the mate threat. CraterC I played h4 as a direct response to g7 and would not have played it otherwise. Blacks 0-0 was a mistake in this position.
